Germany's largest and oldest pipe making marque, Vauen's history dates back to 1848 and comprises decades of innovations such as the 9mm pipe filter, something the majority of their pipes still utilize today. The Burgund line, designated by "16" in the shape code, pays tribute to the wine culture of France's Burgundy region, honoring a tradition that goes back as far as the second century A.D. This series presents pipes finished smooth and in a matte brown stain, offering a warm, soft feel in hand and showcasing the natural grain of the briar beneath. In addition, these pipes come fitted with a pair of metal bands that flank a broad, unique accent of marbled corkwood in a nod to these pipes' inspiration. In this example, the striking finish dresses Vauen's "13" Acorn, its plump bowl lending plenty of contours for a comfortable feel in hand.
