Founded in 1848 by Karl Ellenberger and Carl August Zeiner, Vauen is Germany's oldest pipe factory and the birthplace of the 9mm pipe filter — an innovation that has since become standard across most of the marque's designs. Celebrating Queen Victoria being the first British monarch to travel by train, Vauen's Royal series is a popular line that's been resurrected for a new era. The Royal Series offers a wide variety of Vauen's classic shapes in three distinct finishes: a light brown smooth finish accented with a band of sterling silver; a dark sandblast accented with a band of sterling silver; and an orange smooth finish accented with a band of aluminum. This "68" bent Bulldog represents the line well, showcasing the series' dark sandblast and sterling silver accent.
